It was a bright sunny day at the beach of Virginia Key. A special charity event is taking place there. Quite a lot of people were there for this event. There are 2 bouncy castles, a face painting area, a bird show, a Ferris wheel, a sand sculpturing contest, a few charity car boot sales and several food stands. At the end of it was a boxing ring, with rows of benches around it. A boxing match is currently under way and everyone was cheering for both fighters. One of those said fighters is Lorena DeConpez and is winning against her opponent. Both her trainers Hector Renza & Agata Blanco are cheering her on.

Hector: That’s it! Keep the pressure!
Agata: You’ve got her now, Lorena!

While the match was taking place, among the crowds was Xenia’s father Bahtiyar, Rehor & Huberta Vlahos and Tapani Petridis. They are here to see Xenia in action.

Bahtiyar: I still can’t believe you’ve convinced me to see my own daughter fight. You guys know how much I’m dead against in seeing my girl end up in combat. I dread to imagine if she was seriously hurt.
Huberta: We told you, Bahtiyar. This fight is a charity event. The girls did ask us if we could join them to this event. The least we could do is showing them some support.
Tapani: And besides, my brother is doing a decent job in training her. So quit being such a worrywart.
Bahtiyar: Fine. But don’t expect me to like it.
Rehor: Hey Tapani. Where’s your wife Flora? Isn’t she coming to see this?
Tapani: Under the weather, unfortunately. The heat is really bothering her. But she said she’ll be rooting for Xenia in spirit.
Rehor: Well I hope she gets well soon.

On the opposite side of the ring, on the upper benches was Itzel Sánchez. She was observing the match. She’s not impressed.

Itzel: *Sigh* These matches sure are a little boring. Then again this IS a charity event so I can't ask for champion level fights and is for a good cause... but I still wonder how Coach Melanie can afford half of this stuff for this kind of event. What else is happening today?
*Itzel takes a look at the info leaflet and sees the next fight*
Itzel: Wait a second... VANESSA is having a match against a pro!? But she hasn't finished her Pro Trials yet and I know this name is NOT part the fighters listed in her trials... *scratches her head* Wonder how this will turn out?
???: Excuse me. Is this seat taken?

Itzel looked to her right and sees a girl with blonde crown braid hairstyle, hazel coloured eyes, medium bulb nose, peach coloured skin and size b breasts. She’s wearing a black t-shirt, a dark blue skirt, black high heel shoes, a golden watch on her left wrist and a pair of gold crescent moon ear rings on each ear.

Itzel: No, not at all. I don’t mind a bit of company.
*the mystery girl sits next to Itzel*
???: Why thank you Battle Wolf, Itzel Sánchez. I’ve heard a lot of things about you. I heard you’ve recently beat Isabelle Beaumont. Something that the Boobonski bimbo failed to accomplish.
Itzel: And I’ve heard of you. You’re the Moonlight Empress, Aysun LaCrescent. One of those boxers from the WWBEO. Let me guess, you’re here to cheer for the 2 that are partaken in this event?
Aysun: Oh please. I can care less about DaConpez. She has one of the biggest losing streaks you could ever imagine. As for that half Turk and half Greek freak show, I’m rooting for whoever is fighting her. Oh and for the record, it was my little brother & daddy’s idea to come to this dump.
Itzel: *sarcastic* Well aren’t you a ray of sunshine. *ends sarcasm* I hate to break it to you but this Xenia girl you’re ranting about is gonna win.
Aysun: What makes you say that?
Itzel: Well... Technically... Vanessa is still an amateur. You know that amateurs don't have a lot of chances against pros... But then again, this is Vanessa and she is known for turning around the results.
Aysun: Oh is that so, huh!? Tell you what. How about you and I have a little bet?
Itzel: What kind of bet?
Aysun: I’ll be rooting for this Vanessa girl to win and you’ll root for that hybrid Greek freak to win and the loser of this bet pays up. What you say?
*Itzel pauses for a moment then grins*
Itzel: 30 bucks and you’ve on.
Aysun: Oh it’s so on.

The 2 shook hands while giving smug smiles at each other. The bet was on. At the south end changing tent, Vanessa begins final preparations for her fight. Her mother Melanie and 2 friends Eva & Karen are with her as well. Her fight against Xenia is next.

Eva: Are you sure you’re up for this Vanessa?
Vanessa: Positive Eva. I always wanted to compete for a charitable cause. Besides, if I can last against the likes of Miduki Takanashi and the others from my trail, then I know I can last against this Xenia girl that I’m fighting.
Karen: And we’ll be by your side.
Melanie: *ahem* If you three are through with your chit chat, I need to do some last minute practice with Vanessa. Karen! Eva! Keep an eye on the match outside. Let me know when it’s over. If you don't tell me in time, you know what is in store for you two. *evil grins with vampire teeth*
Karen & Eva: Y-Y-Y-Yes ma’am!

*Eva & Karen leave the tent*
Melanie: Now remember. Just because this is a charity event, doesn’t mean you should go easy on your opponent. Your opponent is another professional boxer and I highly doubt she’ll do the same. I want you to show’em what we Castillo’s are made of.
Vanessa: I won’t let you down coach.
Melanie: That’s the spirit!
*Melanie puts on boxing mitts*
Melanie: Alright then. Give some one-two jabs.
*Vanessa starts jabbing those mitts*

While Vanessa is practicing her jabs with her mother, over at the north end changing tent, Xenia was also practicing her jabs with her trainer Duncan Petridis. She is looking forward to her fight.

Duncan: Alright Xenia. That should be enough for now. All we can do now is wait.
Xenia: OK then. I am so looking forward to this. I wonder if she likes melitinia cookies.
Duncan: Focus Xenia! Now is not the time to get sidetracked.

*Linda & Dagny walk into the tent*
Linda: Uncle Duncan. The final round of the match is nearly finished. It’s time.
Duncan: Alright then. We’ll be outside in a second. Xenia, you ready?
Xenia: Ready as I’ll ever be. I am so fired up; I bet I’ll make my opponent get sunburned.
Dagny: There’s that cheerful smile of determination of her’s again.

In the ring outside, Lorena scored a knockdown. Her opponent was out like a light. The referee stopped the fight. The crowd cheered along with her corner team.

Hector: Well done, Lorena!
Agata: At a girl!

A woman then walked into the ring. Her name is Susan Reedman, the founder of the cancer research centre that helped Lorena’s brother and is in charge of this charity event.

Susan: Ladies & gentlemen! Your winner of this match in the 5th round, with only 40 seconds remaining... The Spanish Pride, Lorena DaConpez!!

The crowd cheered as the referee raises Lorena’s left arm as the victor. Lorena then shook hands with Susan as she leaves the ring. Her opponent was carried out of the ring and back to the changing tent. Eva quickly went back inside their changing tent.
Eva: Melanie, the match is over. We’re next.

Lorena’s opposing corner team pass by as they enter carrying their fallen fighter to the doctor.

Melanie: Well that’s our queue kiddo. You ready?
*Vanessa smiles*
Vanessa: Ready. Let’s do this.

Back at the north changing tent, Lorena arrived with her corner team. She was greeted with a very cheerful Xenia.

Xenia: Hey there, Lorena. I heard you’ve won. Congratulations on your match.
Lorena: Well... ha ha. Thank you Xenia. Best of luck with your match as well.
Xenia: Oh right! My match is next. Thanks for reminding me. Gotta go. Gotta fight to win.
Linda: COME ON XENIA! Your match is next!
Xenia: Wait up! I’m coming already!
*Xenia joins her team as Agata looks at Lorena*
Agata: You make some of the most weirdest of friends.
Lorena: Only in the WWBEO Agata, only in the WWBEO.

Back outside, Susan Reedman enters the ring to make an announcement.
Susan: Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention please? Before we begin our 7th and final match for this afternoon, I like to make an announcement. Today our charity event has made, so far, 44 thousand dollars!
*the crowd (except Aysun) cheer and both teams clapped hands*
Susan: And we’ll be having a guest band performing for us this evening to end the day. Now without further ado, onto our final match of this afternoon. Like the other matches, this contest is scheduled for 5 rounds, with the time limit of 2 minutes. Introducing first, in the red corner. From Mexico City in... Well, Mexico. She’s an amateur hoping to be a professional boxer someday. Please welcome.... Vanesssaaaaaaa Caasstillllllllooooooo!!

Vanessa made her way to the ring with the crowd cheering her. Karen, Eva & her mother were by her side. Vanessa enters the ring as she smiles and waves to the crowd. She waits for her opponent with glee.

Susan: And her opponent, in the blue corner. From Lamia in Greece. A pop star turned professional boxer and our second WWBEO fighter taking part of this charitable event. Please welcome... Delta Diva, Xeniiaaaaaaaaa Yiiilllllldiizzfffiiieeellldd!!

Xenia along with Dagny, Linda and Duncan made her way to the ring, while waving to the crowd as they cheered. Well, all except Aysun anyway as she booed at her rival.

Huberta & Rehor: GOOD LUCK, XENIA!!
Tapani: SHOW’EM WHO’S BOSS!!
Bahtiyar: Be careful, daughter of mine.
Aysun: BOOOOOO! You suck you Turkish Greek freak show! BOOOOO!

“I’m starting to regret letting her sit next to me.” Itzel thought to herself. But Xenia didn’t hear any of Aysun’s words, as they are overshadowed by the crowd cheering. Xenia enters the ring as she continues to smile and waves to the crowd.

Susan: And now ladies and gentlemen, let the final match of this afternoon begin! Over to our referee.
*Both Xenia & Vanessa walked to the center to the ring and they looked at each other*
Referee: OK girls, you both know the rules. I want to see a fair and clean fight. Protect yourselves at all times. Any questions from either of you two?
*Vanessa shook her head*
Xenia: Nope.
Referee: Alright then. Put your gloves together and come out fighting.
Xenia: By the way, I really like your boxing attire.
Vanessa: Thanks. I like that logo of yours.
Xenia: Thanks. Linda designed it herself. I normally dress in blue but-
Referee: *ahem!* Sometime today please?

Both corner teams are giving impatient looks on their faces, much to the fighters fear. Both fighters finally put their boxing gloves together nervously.

Vanessa: We’ll talk fashion later.
Xenia: Good idea. Good luck by the way.
Vanessa: You too.
*Vanessa & Xenia then head to their corners*

TO BE CONTINUED...

Hey everyone. Here is my second ever boxing story. This time it’s my OC Xenia Yildizfield fighting :iconcapitanmaverick:’s Vanessa Castillo. I would like to thank Cap for giving me suggestions on the story direction, helping me make sure his characters are in character and for the title for this story. I was originally gonna have the fight be another WWBEO PPV. But I liked Cap’s suggestion, so I went with a change of location and avoid making my story repetitive. This story will be shorter than the previous one. So expect this one to be in 3 parts. I’ll explain why I chosen Vanessa to fight Xenia in the final part of the story. As for where the story takes place, I think the halfway point of Vanessa’s Pro Trials story arc sounds reasonable. Whoever she’s facing between then and now.
Now for the new characters mentioned in the story and as always, in appearance order...

Agata Blanco – a long time friend of Hector Renza and one of Lorena’s trainers. She’s in her mid 50s and used to be a fitness instructor in her prime. She met Hector back at college and they have been good friends since. After Lorena was suffering from one too many loses, Hector knew he had to get help from another trainer who is will to help and won’t give up on Lorena. Despite being semi-retired, Agata was willing to train Lorena.

Rehor & Huberta Vlahos – they are Dagny’s parents. Huberta (the mother) works at a youth club where her daughter goes to on Saturday’s. While Rehor (the father) works at the air port as a security guard. They’ve raised 3 children, Dagny being the middle child.

Tapani Petridis – he is Linda’s father and is a very rich man. He has a personality of a salesman but has a heart of gold. He loves his daughter very much, but not to the point that he spoils her.

Aysun LaCrescent – remember when I said Xenia became a boxer because of another boxer who bullied her and her friends? Well Aysun is that said boxer. I’ll go into more detail about her when I eventually do her profile. All you need to know for now is the following... She’s another boxer from the WWBEO who goes by the nickname The Moonlight Empress and is Xenia’s rival. She’s from Turkey, is a Boxer-Puncher type of fighter, a rich girl and most of all, a complete bitch.

Duncan Petridis – Tapani’s slightly older brother and Xenia’s trainer... that’s all I can think of at the moment for this guy. Sorry everyone.

Susan Reedman – the founder of the cancer research centre that saved Lorena’s brother, Dario, from dying of cancer. She created this research centre, after her mother died from smoking. She is married and has 2 daughters and 2 sons. Lorena owes them her gratitude that she wants to help them however she could.

By the way, if you’re wondering who Lorena was fighting in her match, it’s just some random fighter who isn’t important to the story. I’ll leave it to your imagination what the fighter looked like. Last but least, if you’re also wondering who paid for what attractions for the event.
Susan paid for one of the bouncy castles, the face painting, the sand sculpturing contest and some of the food stands. Melanie paid for the other bouncy castle, the Ferris wheel, the bird show, the boxing ring/stage and the other food stands. The car boot sales and guest band were from volunteers and/or Susan’s other friends.

I think that’s about everything. In the next part of the story, the match begins. See you then.
