Hello there, Boomers. It is I; the British Badnik.

A while ago, I mentioned an interest in making more short stories in exchange for points. Judging by the results of one of my polls, the majority of you seem to be up for it. So you know what? Let’s do this thing!

Now that I know how to use Word Count on my Word Google account, making it easier on how many words I typed up, I can now make some proper prices with those. So here’s how it works. In the comment section, leave an idea of what stories you want me to write about. It doesn’t have to be boxing related. It can be anything really. It can be as funny or serious as you like it to be. Just as long as it’s SFW. It can be a story about your OCs/FCs. It can be a story about your favourite characters in fiction. (as long as I’m familiar with it) It can even be a story involving my OCs/FCs. However, if I don’t like what you’re suggesting, then I have every right to reject it on the spot. The whole point of these stories is that they are short and for me to have fun. I don’t want to write something that makes me feel uncomfortable and I have my own literature projects that I want to work on. So just to make things easier on myself, I think I’ll accept at least 5 slots at a time.

But enough stalling. Here are the prices…

Story with 500 words or less - 500 points

Story with 1000 words or less - 1000 points

Story with 1500 words or less - 1500 points

Story with 2000 words or less - 2000 points

Now regardless of which you choose, if you want any of my OCs/FCs to appear in the story, it will be an additional 25 points per character. As for which OCs/FCs you want to appear, the following are available for you right now. They are…

The OCs

Lorena & Dario DaConpez

Negrash - Lorena’s pet cat

Cattleya Hermosa

Xenia Yildizfield

Dagny Vlahos

Linda Petridis

Tilly & Odette Boobonski

Monique & Caius Petit

Aysun & Cemil LaCrescent

Skyward - Cemil’s pet cockatiel

Rebecca Cage

Trois Santribus

The entire Corvini family

Rijka Ostibear (although, she can appear in Sonic related stories as well, if you want)

Elynxibeth Canada (although, she can appear in Sonic related stories as well, if you want)

Sia Gilligan

The FCs

Maggie the Magpie - Sonic FC

Cpt Zack Sparrow - Sonic FC

Catharine Yarntail - Sonic FC

Jason Bloodhedge - Sonic FC

Kusa - Puyo Puyo FC

Hana - Puyo Puyo FC

ChuBonnie - ChuChu Rocket FC

And those are my characters that are available to use, if you want them to appear in a certain story you want me to write. I’ll probably add more at a later date, if I create more OCs & FCs in the future. Be sure to look at my gallery and faves to know what they look like (although Odette Boobonski, Caius Petit and most of the Corvini’s currently haven’t got any art yet) and read both my other stories and anniversary Q&As to know them more. If you can, that is.

EDITS as of 22/03/2023

One last thing, most of those stories will be written in script format. If you wish to have your story told in novel format, you're best bet is to pay me 4000 points for that to happen. I'm still burned from the last time I wrote a story in novel format. So if you go for that, expect your commission to take longer to finish. Just in case you get yourself into, in the long run.

Now with that settled, feed me with your short story ideas and I’ll think about it. Thanks for taking this time to read this journal entry. Let’s see what magic we can make from all of this.

Hello everyone! The British Badnik here and it’s time for another journal entry.

First things first, time for me to announce my next LMTSCC. After nearly a month and a total of a pathetic 11 votes, I can reveal that the next Sonic character I’m gonna tackle is gonna be… Thorn the Lop! Yes indeed, the rabbit that only exists to replace one of Penders’ Knuckles with breasts creations is the next Sonic character I’m gonna do for LMTSCC this Easter weekend. Then in April, in honour of the Knuckles series coming to Paramount Plus, the next character I’ll be doing is Athair. Don’t worry, while he is an echidna, he belongs to Michael Gallagher. So expect him to arrive on April 23rd, the day before I go to Bournemouth. I might do another LMTSCC entry before him, but you’ll never know what happens between now and then.

Speaking of which, I would like to remind you what I’ll be doing in that month. On April 8th to 12th, I’ll be going to Minehead for this year’s Spring Harvest. Then later that month, from the 24th to 28th, I’ll be on a coach trip to Bournemouth. Then by the end of May, (don't know the exact date for that yet) I’ll be going on a more camping type of holiday for a few days. So don’t expect me to be active on those days.

Also in April, I’ll have another BQS ready for you lot. But this time, it’ll be a follow up to one of the stories from last year. It’s none other than my favourite OC Aysun LaCrescent sparring with capitanmaverick's OC the Battle Wolf, Itzel Sánchez. With her succeeding the Spicy Taco Challenge last time, will she get another one-up on Itzel? You’ll just have to wait and see.

During that month, I will begin working on Sabrina’s OC Profile, try to finish my LEGO Movie review and plan out what I want for my Birthday on this year’s huge wishlist. I’m also thinking of doing a countdown list for May. Since this year will mark the 40th Anniversary of the Transformers, the topic that I’m thinking of is Transformers toys that I grew up with that still don’t have new toys. Most of them are from G2 and Beast Wars/Machines. So I’ll need a long think on this one. Let me know if you’re interested in this countdown list.

In terms of collabs, me and KiraYamato74 are slowly making progress on our new co-owned female boxing OC. I’ve also been invited by GIJF2K1 to do a collab countdown about Simpsons episodes that are worse than The Principle & The Pauper. Why? Because in our opinion, this episode is NOT that bad and there are far worse episodes than that one. No idea when we’ll get around to that, but it’ll most likely appear sometime in late spring/summer.

As for my other new series, Here’s The Pitch, I haven’t started on working on the next one. Why? Well since I’ve done that pitch about a fighting game involving zodiac signs, a part of me wants to make this game a reality. I could see great potential with this one. It’s just a matter of getting off my ass and having the motivation to give this a push. Problem is, it's finding someone very reliable who would help me develop it. And form a team to do other stuff like music, concept artwork and what have you.

But I do have an idea for the next installment for Here’s The Pitch, if I either can’t generate interest in this fighting game idea or don’t even try pushing it. It just frustrates me that whenever I ask you (my dear watchers) for feedback, I rarely (if ever) get any. That I might as well watch tumbleweeds pass by.

Lastly, I want to remind you that I’m STILL open for short story point commissions. Not only I’m bored and I feel like writing something, but also I desperately want some points very badly. I currently have 808 points. But I want more so I could commission other artists to draw some of my OCs that haven’t got any art yet. And it infuriates me to no end that so far I’ve only had ONE customer. I’m starting to think that this is a waste of time. If I do not get another customer between now and on my Birthday… then I’m thinking of closing shop.

I apologize for this brief tangent. But I’m just sick and tired of not getting any customers and ever since DeviantART made changes that prevented points being sent when you give someone a llama, I’ve been struggling to get points. Especially since I STILL don’t know how to pay online with real money.

So then, if you want me to write you a short story and have points… and want to prove me wrong that my writing skills are worth a damn, visit this journal entry for details. I would appreciate it if somebody does that…

Well that’s it for now. Tomorrow, I’m gonna make a start on the next LMTSCC. Hope to have it ready for Easter Sunday this week. Plus, me and my best friend are planning to see Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire this weekend. That should be awesome.

Until my next journal entry, this is the British Badnik signing out!

Hello everyone! The British Badnik here and I’ll be honest, I have been thinking about writing an update journal entry this month. But I wasn’t expecting to write about this… Then again, I don’t think the entire world was ready to talk about this.

I’m of course talking about the passing of Dragonball creator, Akira Toriyama.

What can I say that’s already been said by everybody else about him? He has made a massive impact with Dragonball. While he has made other manga stories, Dragonball was arguably what put him in the limelight around the world. He was to manga what Stan Lee was to comics.

I remember around the late 90s when it aired on Cartoon Network, it was something new and very unusual to me. At first, I wasn’t too keen on seeing it. I was still finding my comfort zone with anime with the likes of Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Samurai Pizza Cats, Tenchi, The New Adventures of Gigantor, Ox Tales and Time Fighters… Kudos if you recognize those last three. Then one day, when the show was airing the Garlic Jr filler arc, I decided to check it out… and at that point, I was hooked. Growing up, I rewatched the first sagas of DBZ that I missed out on and continued to watch this series when it ended with the Buu Saga. When Dragonball GT came along, I enjoyed watching that as well. Regardless of what die-hard fans have said about it. When the original first series arrived, I checked it out… and to be bluntly honest, I wasn’t impressed with it. Maybe I was spoiled with DBZ or some of the outdated stuff has made it age badly. Whatever the case, it just wasn’t for me. If I had to pick the best parts about it, it would be the Red Ribbon Army saga.

In terms of merchandise, I remember playing DBZ Budokai 2 on the PS2 and enjoyed playing it. In fact, the boardgame presentation in the story mode never bothered me when I played it. I also have a t-shirt of Vegeta on it (and it still fits me) that I bought from one of my previous trips to Florida. I even have 3 of the non-canon movies… too bad it's the awful Big Green dub. If you know how awful they are, then I don’t need to explain why. If not, look it up.

However, around the 2010s, I stopped watching anything related to Dragonball (and the less said about Dragonball Evolution the better) because my interest in anime was starting to decline. Mainly the shonen type of shows. Even when they remade the Z series with Kai, a handful of new movies being canon to the series and addition of DB Super… I still wasn’t interested in them. It wasn’t until around 2020 or so, where I watched Masako X’s Dragonball What If series on YouTube that I slowly regained interest in Dragonball. Soon enough, I was starting to watch My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer. Two recent Shonen Jump manga that got anime adaptations. In fact, the live-action Netflix One Piece series got me motivated to get the original anime (FUNimation dub) series.

But now, he’s gone. I’m aware that he made Dragonball Daima (which is basically GT but now with his involvement) and one of his lesser known manga (Sand Land) is getting an anime adaptation and an RPG videogame soon. I don’t know what the future holds for the Dragonball franchise next or what other manga he worked on will get the anime adaptation next. But one thing that I plan on doing is this… I will eventually watch Dragonball Super and any upcoming animations of either Dragonball or Toriyama’s other works. It’s the least I could do.

While he is sadly no longer with us, it’s safe to say his legacy will live on. I give my condolences to his friends, colleagues and family. Thank you Toriyama! This is the British Badnik signing out and I will leave you with a song that’s rather fitting for this entry.

Rest in peace Akira Toriyama…

Hello there everyone. It is I; the British Badnik. Once more, happy New Year everyone and it’s time for my first update journal of 2024. This year is gonna be busy for me. So let’s get down to business. First order of business is…

HOLIDAYS

I have a few holidays/vacations heading my way this year. First, on April 8th to 12th, I’ll be going to Minehead for this year’s Spring Harvest. Then later that month, from the 24th to 28th, I’ll be on a coach trip to Bournemouth. Then by the end of May, (don't know the exact date for that yet) I’ll be going on a more camping type of holiday for a few days. Lastly, on October 11th to November 2nd, I’ll be going back to Orlando with my littlest brother’s family for the Halloween season. Unless my parents are OK with me bringing my Chromebook in the April holidays, I won’t be active on those days.

I just want to tell you Boomers in advance, just in case. If I unexpectedly find out that there are more, I will let you know immediately.

LITERATURE WORKS

Now then, here’s what I’ve got planned in terms of literature works. In month of the year order…

February - You’ve heard her name dropped in my Aysun Solo Story. So now I’m finally going to work on her OC Profile. I’m of course talking about Rin “Lady Dragon” Ryong. Since this year is the Year of the Dragon, Rin will be my next OC I’m gonna do a profile for. And I hope to have it done, just in time for Chinese New Year.

March - I would like to do something for AzaSket, since it’ll be his Birthday earlier in the month. But I haven’t decided on what it’ll be yet. Maybe another BQS involving my OCs interacting with his OCs? Might be arriving late, though.

April - Since I’ll be on 2 holidays that month, I will probably make another BQS to save time. I’ll most likely do Aysun 02, as a way of an anniversary. Since the first BQS was about her, it was part of my 10 submissions for my 10th Anniversary on DeviantART and I won’t be able to do anything for the 11th Anniversary.

May - Last year, I finally gave an OC (that I’ve adopted since 2019) an identity. I named her Sabrina Follmer. However, she currently doesn’t have a profile. So once I’ve done Rin Ryong’s profile, I’ll work on Sabrina’s next.

June - I’ve been thinking about doing a story involving my other OC, Tilly Boobonski, for this year’s Pride Month. Still brainstorming what it’ll be about. I’m open for suggestions.

November - Once I’ve returned from my vacation in Orlando, provided nothing terrible has happened to me, I’ll try and do something for KOvember. Maybe a few BQS or maybe a multiparter story with OCs of mine that haven’t been in action yet. Either way, I’ll think of something.

That’s all for my literature works, at the moment. Although, I have thought about doing a tournament arc type of story involving my OCs and OCs from other creators. I’ll put up a poll to see if any of you lot are interested in that. I also want to write another OC vs OC story, that I’ve been wanting to write for a long time. I’m talking about my Nachine Sarmento taking on uraputo's Miduki Takanashi. But I might require someone to help me contact him, since he isn’t active on dA nowadays. However he is active on other websites that I don’t have an account on. But I’ll cross that bridge if or when I get there.

Lastly, I’ve reopened my short story point commissions. So if you want me to write a short story for you, visit this journal entry for details. If you have any questions about my services, feel free to ask me.

REVIEWS, DISCUSSIONS & COUNTDOWNS

First some Sonic themed topics.

In regards to Sonic Prime, not only do I plan to review the show, but I’m thinking of doing a discussion journal. Speculating on if the show gets renewed for a PROPER season 2. But be warned, that discussion will contain spoilers from the show. I’ll give you all until June to check the show out, before I do that. With the Writer’s & Actor’s Strike over, I imagine we’ll get an announcement of when the Knuckles series will be arriving soon. Once that shows up, I’ll review that as well. Then in December, provided nothing terrible has happened to me in October, I’ll review the third live-action Sonic movie. Other than those, I’m not sure what else I’ll be reviewing this year.

There is one thing that I do need to do this year… make a really big Birthday Wishlist. Since I’m going to be 40 years old this year, (God, I’m old and STILL single!! I’ll never get laid!!) I’m gonna make a list of 40 Birthday requests. Some of them are old requests that still haven’t been fulfilled, while the rest are new ones. It’ll be in two parts, 20 requests for each journal. You can expect that in May. Why May? Because I want to give everyone 3 months to prepare for my big four zero. I’m not expecting all of them to be fulfilled. But I would appreciate it if I could get at least 4 or 5 out of the 40 Birthday requests getting ticked. If not, then I’ll be extremely disappointed. Just a reminder, my Birthday is August 11th.

I currently don’t have any plans in terms of countdown lists. But if there is a topic that warrants a countdown list, I will let you know in status posts. Discussion journals will pop up if I find a subject worth talking about.

NEW IDEAS FOR MY GALLERY

Throughout the past few years since the pandemic, I’ve been watching some YouTube videos about people coming up with character rosters for their ideal dream game. Mainly fighting games. With the likes of Thorgi’s Build the Roster and Let’s Make a Sequel series, Delzethin’s Challenger Approaching series and TheMetalBlade5’s Conceptualising series. Plus, Masako’s videos where he finds a way to make the non-canon movie Dragon Ball characters get the Brolly treatment. It’s because of those videos, I’ve been inspired to create these new segments for my gallery. They are…

Here’s the Pitch - This is where I’ll pitch my ideas for a project. I’ll start with videogames for now. If you lot end up liking this, I’ll expand to other things like movies, TV shows and maybe comics/manga. As I’ve said in the past, I do have a big imagination. Not only do I have new ideas for pre established IPs, I also have ideas for original IPs too. But I’m not sure if I’ll ever in my life make any of them become a reality. Hence why thing series exist.

Let’s Make This Sonic Character Canon - Sonic has met many friends and enemies for over 30 years. But most of them come from other spin offs outside the games. But lately however, there have been talks about unifying the game universe with things from other media. We saw it with Sonic Frontiers where Tangle & Sticks got name dropped. And recently in one of the Twitter Takeovers, Dr. Starline got mentioned. In this series, I take a non-game character and find a way in making them work in the mainline game universe.

One idea that I’ve just thought about the other day, is making a webcomic involving my anthropomorphic animal OCs. But I’m not sure if I’ll go through with it or not. I would love to do one at some point, if possible. But again, I’ll cross that bridge if or when I get there.

So those are my plans for this year. Mind you, anything could happen between now and the end of the year. So anything is tentative to change. For all I know, not everything will be set in stone.

I’m the British Badnik and let’s see what 2024 has in-store for us, together…

The proper title is How I would've handled Disney's 100th celebration film. But I couldn't fit it in. So special is the word I'm using to fit it all in. Anyway, on with the show...

Hello there Boomers! It is I; the British Badnik! This year, I went to Florida for my vacation. One of the things I did there was seeing Wish in Disney Springs. Now before seeing this film, I heard people online saying how disappointing it was. Well now that I’ve seen it myself, I can safely say that I thought the film was… just OK. Nothing terrible, nothing fantastic. It was just average. It’s no wonder why it's bombing at the box office.

This year has not been a good year for Disney. With the exceptions of Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Elemental and the live-action Little Mermaid remake, every movie (regardless if you liked or disliked them) they’ve released this year have all flopped. And for the first time since 2014, none of their films hit the 1 billion mark. But to add even more insult to injury, this year was Disney’s 100th Anniversary!

Also, I’m gonna make a hot take here. Excluding sequels, the last animated movies from Disney that I’ve FULLY ENJOYED were Zootopia/Zootropolis and Moana in 2016. Everything else since then, with the exception of Frozen 2, I found to be average at best. Yes, even Encanto. In fact, I find both Encanto and Strange World combined to be better than Wish. But what frustrates me the most about Wish is we were PROMISED that it’ll be a traditional 2D hand drawn film… only for them to get cold feet and chase an animation trend that started with Blue Sky Studios’ Peanuts and Sony’s Spider Verse films. Whenever Disney tries to go back to their 2D roots, I’m convinced that someone is sabotaging their 15 minutes of fame! Which is rather sad when you stop and think about it! For the record, I have nothing against Disney making 3D animated films. I just want a traditional hand drawn 2D film from them that is both good and not being set up to fail, by being overshadowed by something else from someone else!

The reason I’m bringing all of this up was because I was originally going to review Wish when I came back from my vacation. But during my vacation, not only did I finally got to check out Once Upon a Studio on Disney Plus in my shalley, but I saw a few shows/attractions in the theme parks that I think would make for interesting adaptations into animated movies. So rather than join the “Wish was disappointing” bandwagon with a review, I decided to tackle a topic that I don’t think anybody has done yet.

I’m going to list out some ideas of what I personally think would make for a better 100th anniversary celebration animated film for Disney. Now I highly doubt that someone at Disney is gonna come knocking on my door and offer me a job as head administrator of their animation division or something. But if by some warped reality that it actually happened, here’s what I’d do. First I would plan it out for 5 years in advance. Then around the 4th year of development, I would announce what the project is. Finally, I would release a trailer of the film I’m making just 6 months before the film arrives. I would make sure the trailer PROPERLY shows you what the film is about, while avoiding spoilers for the film’s third act. But the most important thing I do with it is, you know, actually promote the damn film with all the marketing push I could make. There is one more thing I would do with the film… HAVE A LOW BUDGET! Most of Disney’s movies tend to have a 100 or 200 million dollar budget. Which I believe is one of the factors that’s hurting them. One of the reasons Illumination’s movies are often successful is because their budgets tend to be in-between the 30 - 40 million dollar mark. My budget would be the 60 -70 million dollar mark. If it’s successful, it would more than double their money back. If it flops, at least they won’t lose any major losses in the long term.

But enough about that. You all want to know what my ideas are, right? Well I’ve stalled this long enough. Here are my pitches for a better 100th anniversary celebration animated film for Disney.

IDEA 01: An original story starring Mickey Mouse

For a company that’s been around for 100 years and has Mickey as their mascot, I’m rather surprised that they never did anything major with him other than 2 animated shorts. I mean as Walt said it himself, the company all started with a mouse. THE mouse! Mickey hasn’t appeared in a theatrical movie since Fantasia 2000.

And since this movie would star Mickey, it’s safe to say that it’ll have his entire cast appear in the film too. Maybe a few characters from DuckTales and Chip N Dale’s Rescue Rangers to boot. But the big question however would be what the plot is going to be about. Maybe a story inspired by the Epic Mickey games where he teams up with Oswald on an adventitious quest? Or maybe a story about how he became Yensid’s apprentice? Oh! How about someone uses time travel to stop him from being born and Mickey, Donald & Goofy must stop him/her/them from altering history? That’s all I can think of at the moment at the top of my head.

The next thing to think about is who will be the villain of the film. If they take the Epic Mickey approach, it’ll most likely be the Phantom Blot or the Mad Doctor. If they want to pick a safe choice, the villain will most likely be Pete. But I’m guessing they might make a one-off villain made exclusively for the film. Personally, I would nominate Mortimer Mouse as a villain for the film. As for animation style, while I have no objections to being in 3D, I personally would prefer a traditional 2D hand drawn kind. But I wouldn’t go with the style from the newer animated shorts. I would stick with how the characters usually look. But if the animators want to experiment with different art styles, then that’s fine. Just as long as it doesn’t look uncanny and too much of an eyesore.

It’s a shame no one at Disney ever thought about this. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up in an animated movie from other studios. Since he’ll be going into the public domain next week.

IDEA 02: An adaptation of Fantasmic

If you’ve been to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, then you already know what it is. But to those who haven’t, Fantasmic is a long-running nighttime show that’s been going on since 1992. Show’s plot is about Mickey having a dream and showing off his imagination. Which causes some villains from Disney’s films to turn his imagination into a nightmare. The show has boats, fireworks and scenes from their films being projected through water.

Now you’re probably wondering how the Hell do they adapt a show from their theme parks into an animated film? Well Once Upon a Studio, Kingdom Hearts, House of Mouse and Who Framed Roger Rabbit have shown us that Disney can have their characters crossover with one another. So it’s not completely impossible.

Out of all the ideas I’ve thought up with, this might be my weakest choice. But if you get the chance to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I recommend checking that night show out. You will not regret it. Speaking of shows…

IDEA 03: An adaptation of Drawn to Life (Cirque du Soleil)

In Disney Springs, there was a circus show called La Nouba. It lasted nearly 2 decades, before making their final performance in December 2017. Disney’s new circus would draw (no pun intended) inspiration from their animation heritage. After years of planning and being delayed because of the COVID pandemic, we ended up getting this… and it’s bloody fantastic.

Unlike La Nouba, Drawn to Life actually has a story to go with their performance. The story is about a young teenage girl who is coping with the loss of her father. Her father was an animator and used to like drawing. But the loss of her father was affecting her drawing skills. However, she would meet some interesting characters to reignite her passion for drawing. I won’t spoil anything further than that, since I heavily recommend checking this circus out. If you’re a fan of animation from Disney, you’re in for a treat. Also, bring some tissues as it does have tearjerker moments.

Compared to Fantasmic, this one might be the easiest to adapt into an animated film. You have a protagonist who is relatable, has a dream and a motivation to activate that said dream. A handful of unique side characters. An antagonist who is both funny and has a connection with the protagonist. Lastly, a few of Disney’s familiar faces making a cameo.

This, along with my final idea, is perfect for an adaptation into an animated movie. But if they want to take a step further and make it into a live-action hybrid, I’d be down for that.

IDEA 04: Figment

Journey into Imagination with Figment in Epcot is probably the few remaining theme park attractions that hasn’t made the jump to a Disney movie yet. Figment himself has appeared in some short films in the late 1980s, cameoed as a painting in 2 Pixar films and is currently a playable racer in Disney Speedstorm. If you’ve been on this attraction, then you understand why I’ve selected him. The attraction begins with Dr. Nigel Channing (played by Eric Idle of Monty Python fame) leading a tour of the fictional Imagination Institute. While Figment serves as a foil for him and shows us how our imagination can run wild.

Now you’re probably wondering how can we turn a theme park attraction about a little purple dragon (who in essence is a literal figment of our imaginations) into an animated film? Well, I think I’ve got one idea. In 2014, the same year Disney made their reimagining of Big Hero 6, Marvel did a 5 issue miniseries about Figment. As part of the Disney Kingdoms line of comicbooks. The story focuses on the origins of both him and another character called Dreamfinder and it got a follow up the very next year. I’ve personally never read those comics, but it’s possibly a good start to take inspiration from and work our way from there. Another thing that the attraction has is songs and Figment often sings them. So it’s got that going for him.

Now believe it or not, I’ve learned that a movie about Figment is currently in the works. But considering who is involved in making it, I’m gonna keep my expectations low on this.

And there you have it! My interpretation of making a better 100th anniversary celebration animated film for Disney. Do you think my ideas are better than what Disney has already given us or do you think they’re worse? Let me know in the comments. I would love to hear your feedback on this.

Now again, I don’t think Wish was a bad film. Just disappointingly average. And let me make this perfectly clear to everyone. I’m not some anti-Disney person who has a blind hatred for them and wants the company to go out of business. I’m a fan of animation (and the majority of it comes from Disney) who is very concerned for them. I just want this company to do better than what they’ve been doing recently. And I know they can do far better than this.

Until my next journal entry, I’m the British Badnik wishing you all (an ironic choice of words) a very Merry Christmas. See you in 2024!

Hello there everyone! It is I; the British Badnik. Time for another update journal.

But before I go any further, let me get this out the way first.

Yes. I’m aware of the existence of Sonic Dream Team.

Yes. I wish this game was available on consoles.

No. Despite owning an iPad, I don’t have Apple Arcade.

No. Unlike 80% of the fanbase, I’m not going to lose sleep over it.

With that out the way, let’s talk about what I’ll be doing for the remainder of the year. On Nov 27th to Dec 19th, I’ll be away on holiday/vacation in Florida with some members of my family. Which means I won’t be active on this website for a few weeks. So if you don’t get any response from me by then, then that is why. One of the things I would like to do while I’m there, is to try and see Wish, Disney’s new animated film as part of their 100 years anniversary celebration. Yes, I’m aware it’ll be out in my country around the 4th week of November. But I highly doubt I’ll see it on its opening weekend that week. Other than that, I might as well have fun at the theme parks. I do hope I’ll have a safe flight there and back again. Fingers crossed.

With that said, what am I going to work on next? Well for starters…

SHORT STORY POINT COMMISSIONS

On Nov 24th, my short stories point commissions will be closed and will reopen on Dec 27th at the latest. So if you want to commission me to write a short story for you, then you have between now and Nov 24th to finally do so. I will do my best to get them finished either before I’m away or in time for Christmas when I get back. It would be rather nice to have some points for the Christmas season.

However, next year, if I don’t get any customers up until Aug 11th 2024, (which I’ll be 40 years old by then) I might close my point commissions for good. It’s really annoying that I rarely get anyone to commission me to earn some points. I’ll probably consider accepting real money as payment. But at the moment, especially with some artists sending notes to other users with the same message, (you know who you are, stop buttering me up!) I’d rather not risk it.

So if you have points and want to commission me, that’s brilliant. If not, then that’s fine. I currently have 794 points at the moment. So any point donation is much appreciated.

LITERATURE WORKS

In terms of countdown lists, I think I’ll do a top 10 for movies that I’ve seen this year. That one will be interesting. In terms of reviews, once I return from Florida and if I’ve seen the movie, I’ll review Wish next. I’ll try and have that ready for Christmas Day, if I can. Not sure about games or comics, at the moment. I’ll worry about that next year. In terms of stories for myself, I’m not sure if I’ll write another story this month. Let alone another story for KOvember. Maybe I might do another BQS with one of my OCs or another addition of FAB for Boxing Day, since it’ll be the second anniversary of the first story I wrote for it. If I decide to do FAB again, I’ll let you decide which of my anthropomorphic animal OCs you want to see fight, while I select an opponent for them to fight.

But one thing that I do want to work on is more OC profiles. Since I’ve recently given one of my old adopted OCs a name and purpose, I do need to write a profile for her. But not only that, there are still some female boxing OCs that I’ve not made profiles for yet. Be it someone who was name dropped in my previous stories or someone who hasn’t been mentioned yet. I’m also thinking of making grouped OC profiles for the supporting characters. For the likes of family members, other friends, other enemies, the people who work in the WWBEO and so on. It has been on my mind a few times lately.

There is one idea that I’ve been thinking about recently. A contest type of story between my female boxer OCs against various other female boxer OCs from other creators. I haven’t ironed out the premise yet. But it’s something I’ve been thinking about doing for a while. Let me know if you’re interested and if you’re willing to take part in it.

POSSIBLE NEW IDEA

Lately I’ve been watching some videos on YouTube about ideas for videogames. I’ve been thinking about it for a couple of months. Something like TheMetalBlade5’s Conceptualising series, Delzethin’s Challenger Approaching series and Thorgi’s Build the Roster and Let’s Make a Sequel series. If there is one thing I love, it’s thinking of new ideas for games or cartoon shows. I have one massive imagination, as seen with my Top 10 Sonic Game Ideas, my Sonic Riders reboot journal discussion, new ideas for characters if Darkstalkers 4 ever happened and a new Ghostbusters cartoon.

But the thing is, I also have ideas for original IPs and I’m not sure if I’ll ever in my life make any of them become a reality. So I’m wondering if any of you would be interested in a series like this. Not sure if I’ll ever get a YouTube account and make a series of videos about it. Since I currently don’t have any skills in video making. So I think I’ll stick to text based presentations. But if I do decide to go ahead with this, I have a question for you lot. Would you prefer I have this series in my journal entry format or another literature series for my gallery? Do let me know.

I think that’s about it for now. As always, these plans are tentative to change, if something happens. By the way, if anyone wants to draw any of my OCs for KOvember, be my guest. Check either my gallery or the "gifts for me" section of my faves to see what my OCs look like. If you have any questions about them, let me know and I'll try to answer them ASAP. And if anyone wishes to give me a Christmas gift of sorts while I’m away, that would be wonderful. You can check out my previous Christmas/Birthday wishlists for what I like to have this year…

Right now, I better finish putting the Christmas decorations up and start packing for my Florida vacation. Until my next journal entry, this is the British Badnik signing out!
